This patient was admitted for an embolic stroke of the middle cerebral artery. Additional diagnoses include benign hypertension, bilateral internal carotid artery stenosis, reactive depression, peripheral vascular disease and atrial fibrillation. At the time of discharge the patient had ongoing dysphasia due to her stroke.
